At the end of January, after a relaxing period of preparation, Matt, Keiko and Emi set off on a tour of their ancestral sites. This is a stimulating account of their experience(s).

Tired, we arrived in Kyoto.

Slept, woke

and eagerly headed out to the local shopping centre (MOMO, which means "peach") for TAKOYAKI (octopus balls).

We start getting ready for a trip to Hokkaido, the northernmost island in Japan.

We buy warm undergarments.

We eat vegetables .

And then it's time to fly to Hokkaido, for some fun in the snow.
